Melbourne’s vibrant and charming urban setting also offers a number of unique pedestrian plazas; one such place is Queensbridge Square – located alongside the scenic Yarra River in Southbank.
Queensbridge Square is popular with locals for a wide array of casual dining venues, coffee shops and a lush garden setting.
Queensbridge Square Southbank, Parking, Address & Map
Within walking distance of Queensbridge Square is the Art Centre and the famous Crown Casino. This entertainment complex is Melbourne’s major hub for gaming, gambling and upscale dining.
Right next to Queensbridge Street is a postmodern red stair amphitheatre which is a well known meeting spot for locals. Many people come here on their lunch breaks to take a break from their busy day, or some sit along the riverside on one of the many landscaped garden beds.
Queensbridge Plaza connects Southgate (near the Arts Centre) , Southbank Boulevard, Queensbridge Street, Crown Casino, the Freshwater Place apartment complex and Sandridge Bridge, which leads to Flinders Street Station and its underpass.
Those driving to the Southbank or the casino will be pleased to know that the nearby Southbank Boulevard and the casino have plenty of parking spaces. So drop off the car and take a stroll through along the picturesque Yarra River.
Where can be parking? How much?
Hi Christina,
The closest parking locations are either at Crown Casino, the Melbourne Exhibition and Convention Centre or one of the Wilson Carparks on Queensbridge Street. There is one right behind the Meat and Wine Co restaurant which is probably the closest.
Best regards,
Jess
