Sometimes referred to as the Degraves Street Subway, the arcade dates back to 1956 and is located underground, connecting Degraves Street with Flinders Street Station.
Campbell Arcade Melbourne, Degraves Lane to Flinders Street Shops
Look out for the striking political works of art enclosed in glass cabinets along the walkway as you head to the shops. Since 1990, a new exhibition is held on the first Friday of every month to allow for viewing of the artworks.
You will also find a number of shops down here including a newsagent, an internet cafe which also does laptop repairs, and a hairdresser. There is a coffee shop and ‘Sticky Institute’, a shop which makes hand-made magazines.
Access Campbell Arcade from Flinders Street Station; take the underground route until you get to the famous pink-tiled walls of the arcade.
