Carlton Baths

Carlton Baths, a community centre located on Rathdowne Street in Carlton, offers multipurpose sports and fitness centre for visitors.

The City of Melbourne owns the fitness centre, while its day to day operations are overseen and managed by the YMCA Victoria. One of the factors that endear visitors to the centre is the array of facilities that cater for everyone: singles, families, senior citizens and kids.

There are a serene outdoor lap pool and a kiddie pool specially designed for toddlers. The Health Club on site has plenty of space for singles or groups to workout in the gym on site. There is also a cycle studio which has 20 cycle bikes for use. The cardio-fitness rooms are well equipped for those who want to undertake cardio-exercises and there is an indoor space for ball games such as netball and basketball.

Other facilities on location include meeting rooms and a courtyard cafe where visitors can grab a quick pre-workout snack or a drink. Thanks to the inclusion of accessible car parking, the Carlton Baths has good disability access.
