This popular course in Melbourne is easily accessed by car, tram or bus. During race events, the Caulfield Racecourse can be crowded, but guests will be happy to know that there is a special viewing stand at the venue, known as Rupert Clark viewing stand. As the stand is glassed in, you can comfortably enjoy watching live racing from here – even in summer.

After its opening in April 1996, the racecourse became a favourite for Melbournians. In fact, the venue proudly hosts some of the nation’s most popular and historic races. During spring, the racecourse hosts the renowned Caulfield Carnival. This three-day-long event attracts hundreds of visitors from all across the nation.

Besides that, the course also hosts one of the world’s most famous 2,400m horse races – The Caulfield Cup. In summer, the race course becomes a popular spot as it hosts the famous Summer Classic Carnival of Victoria.
