Melbourne’s well-known shopping centres also include a variety of discount shopping outlets. If you’re sick of paying full retail prices and looking for a bargain, then plan a visit the DFO located in South Wharf – just outside the CBD.
DFO is a great spot to shop for big brands at low prices – with big bargains and big savings up to 70% off all year round.

Hi Peter,
I don’t believe there are any spots for a car with a trailer.
Best regards,
Jess
hi we are visiting Anzac day 2018 can you tell me if the dfo is open on that day thanks
Hi Peter,
DFO South Wharf will open from 1pm on Anzac Day. Most stores will remain closed until this time, but major shopping centres and entertainment venues will open after lunch.
Other major attractions such as the Melbourne Zoo, the Aquarium and the Eureka Skydeck will be open as per normal.
Best regards,
Jess
Hi team,
Just a few questions. We are visiting DFO on 3/12 and would like to know:
– where to park
– when availabale (operating hours)
– cost/tarif
Kind regards
Ernie
Hi Ernie,
There is an open air car park at DFO South Wharf (about 500 car spots), you can enter from Normanby Road. It is expensive at around $10 per hour, but you can get a 50% off discount when you buy something within the shopping centre. They will give you a voucher to redeem when you go to pay your ticket. They are currently performing an upgrade to this carpark, so I’m not sure how many spots are currently open. The car park is open 24 hours.
Another good alternative is to park at Harbour Town, it is an easy 2km walk however there are heaps of shops here that you can browse as well. Here you will find multi-level undercover parking with over 1500 spaces. Parking is a much more reasonable $3 per hour, with up to 6 hours only $10. This is a 24 hour carpark.
At either option you can pay with cash or card at the automatic payment booths.
Best regards,
Jess
