The beach consists of about 900 metres of pristine sand with calm and refreshing water, perfect for a morning or afternoon stroll.

Swimming is very popular here during the summer months and you will also find increasing numbers of people going paddleboarding, kiteboarding and windsurfing here. The beach is generally patrolled by surf lifesavers over the weekends in the summer months.
Bring a picnic along and head to the lovely grassed area right near the beach where you can find some shade under the pine trees. The Hampton shops are located just 2 minutes from the beach where you can purchase sandwiches, cold drinks and ice creams.
Amenities available at the surf life saving club near the beach include outdoor showers and bathroom facilities and there is also limited parking along the main road.
You can get to Hampton Beach via public transport. Catch a train on the Sandringham Line from the CBD and get off at Hampton Station. The beach is a short 5 minute walk away.
