JJ Holland Park is an expansive 10-hectare multi-use local park located in Kensington, just 5kms from the Melbourne CBD.
The park is named after John Joseph Holland, one of the city’s most vocal parliamentarians who championed for the need to institute social welfare schemes.

This park is home to the Kensington Community and Recreation Centre whose heated indoor pool is a favourite for residents in the area. There is also a large BMX track and skate park as well as the Bill Vanina sports facility, a running track and football field.
JJ Holland Park is particularly popular with families, as there is a playground located on-site. You will find a slide, climbing wall, chain bridge, tic-tac-tow, tunnel, fireman’s pole and flying fox. There is also a see-saw, a spinning cup and 5 swings.
Bring a picnic next time you are in town, as there are BBQs here with tables, seats, toilets and a water tap.
JJ Holland Park is accessible via train, with South Kensington Station located just across the road. There is metered parking located around the park.
