The Johnston Collection is a non-profit museum that is home to some of the city’s greatest artefacts, and a must-tour for visitors who appreciate art.
The museum features a reference library, an exhibition house as well as a souvenir shop. The reference library offers an opportunity for visitors to get resource material on artefacts at the museum, as well as a chance to delve deeper in the museum’s history and rich heritage.

To visit, you need to make advance bookings, either online or using the museum’s office number. A courtesy bus picks up visitors at select points in East Melbourne. On arrival, visitors are slotted in one of three guided tours very weekday as follows: 10am, 12pm and 2pm. Each tours runs for about 1.5 hours.
