Equitana Melbourne is a huge event showcasing the best equine competitions and exhibitions and will be next held in Melbourne in November 2024.

Originating in 1999, Equitana Melbourne is a fantastic, family-friendly event aimed to educate and entertain patrons over four days.

Each day, patrons can enjoy all things horses by engaging in some education sessions, viewing and testing new products, speaking to equine experts and viewing competitions and exhibitions of some of the best riders in Australia.

EQUITANA Melbourne is the only place in Australia where you can learn from more than 80 local and International Educators, with topics that suit everyone, from first-horse owners to professional riders. Let us entertain you with the best of the best equine talent in Australia.

Shopping

Australia’s largest equine marketplace. Start saving because 300 brands cater to the rider, horse, stable, training and everything in between, including:

• Three indoor shopping halls that span over 6,000sqm of space
• Two outdoor precincts, including Truck & Float and Breed Village

Education

This is the biggest education program ever. That’s right, they have added a new outdoor education arena to the lineup, so this year, there are six education precincts. This means they have:

Competition

The largest multi-disciplined equine program in Australia. With two outdoor grass arenas and one custom-built indoor sand arena, the program is jam-packed with variety and something for everyone.

Getting There

Melbourne Showgrounds is just 7km from Melbourne’s CBD and 15 minutes from the airport. It is easy to reach by public transport and car.

All pre-purchased tickets to EQUITANA provide FREE travel on public transport, including trains, trams, and buses, in zones 1 and 2 for the day/s of the ticket.

Parking at EQUITANA Melbourne 2024 is very limited, and less parking than we have had previously will be available.

Getting here by car
We have very limited parking on site. We strongly encourage you to take advantage of the free public transport available with your ticket.

Getting here by bus
Two bus routes will get you to the Melbourne Showgrounds. Route 472 (Williamstown to Moonee Ponds) stops along Langs Road & Route 404 (Footscray to Moonee Ponds) stops on the corner of Epsom and Ascot Vale Roads.

Getting here by tram
Take the Route 57 tram (West Maribyrnong to Elizabeth Street, City) and disembark at Stop 32 (Showgrounds Village Shopping Centre on Epsom Road).

Getting here by train
Melbourne Showgrounds train station will be in operation during EQUITANA Melbourne.
