Margaret Court Arena is a large tennis court located in Melbourne Park near the CBD and is one of the host venues of the famous Australian Open.
Originally known as ‘Show Court One’, the arena opened its doors in 1988 and was renamed in 2003 in honour of one of the country’s most successful tennis players, Margaret Smith Court.

Parking is available at the venue but should be pre-booked as it often books out. If you would prefer to take public transport, there are many options. You can take a short 15-minute walk from Flinders Street train station via the William Barak footbridge. Alternatively, take the Tanderrum Bridge via Birrarung Marr.
If you want to take a tram, the closest tram route is the #70 (Wattle Park) which stops as Rod Laver Arena (Stop 7B), Hisense Arena (Stop 7C) and AAMI Park (Stop 7D). Alternatively, tram #48 (North Balwyn) and #75 (Vermont South) stop just a short walk away along Wellington Parade.
