One of the commonly used airport transfers from the city of Melbourne is the SkyBus service. Visitors can take a bus transfer from Southern Cross Station. This service operates 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. They also offer a free shuttle from the CBD area and hotels to Southern Cross Station.

Another popular airport transfer option is taxi services. Hotel guests can easily book a taxi through their hotel, app or by phone. These taxi services operate 24/7, so finding a taxi late at night or very early in the morning will not be difficult. Taxi fares from the CBD to the airport are around $50.

Unfortunately, there is no train linking the Melbourne Airport to the CBD, however, there are local bus services that will take you to one of the nearby train stations. However, these are not a very quick option. So if you’re pushed for time, a taxi or the Skybus from Southern Cross is your best option.
