Sunshine is a multicultural Melbourne suburb located 13 kilometres from the CBD and its local government area is located in the City of Brimbank.
Sunshine’s history dates back to the late 19th century when it was known as Braybrook Junction. The locals later named the suburb after Sunshine Harvester Works, a popular manufacturing company that operated in the region at the time.

Sunshine is well serviced by public transport, with regular Sunbury line trains stopping at Sunshine Train Station. Visitors can also take a bus to get to Sunshine using route #220, #408 as well as route #903 from Altona.
